Design Talk with Carolin Sangha
June 8, 2022ACAPULCO DESIGN OWNER BENJAMIN CAJA IN DESIGN TALK WITH CAROLIN SANGHA - CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT SCHÖNBUCH
Carolin Sangha is the creative head of the Schönbuch brand. She is also the founder of the fashion brand Casa Nata. Born in India, she was also co-founder of the Flip Flop brand and, as a modern and strong woman, has a defining influence on fashion and interior design with her style. Acapulco Design Founder Benjamin Caja met Carolin Sangha in her Munich apartment to talk to her about the launch of the new Acapulco Design Low Table.
Benjamin: Carolin, how important is aesthetically pleasing interior furniture in general to you?
Carolin: For me, in addition to aesthetics, furniture also needs a story that tells a connection to a place, a person or a phase of life. Only then does the furniture appeal to me aesthetically. For me, the interior furniture needs a "soul" in addition to the shapely appearance. After all, I surround myself with it every day.
Benjamin: What is the significance of tables in particular? Do they also fulfill a social or other function in everyday life for you?
Carolin: For me, tables have an important function in the interior. Family and/or friends sit together at the dining table. It also serves as a workplace. A center piece in every home. The side table also has many functions. It offers a small storage area in all areas - on the sofa, on the bed, in the entrance .... In addition to its functionality, the low table from Acapulco is also an interior piece of furniture that you like to integrate into your interior as an eye-catcher - simply beautiful in terms of shape and colour.
Benjamin: How would you recommend using the partially eclectic furniture of Acapulco Design in the interior?
Carolin: The furniture from Acapulco Design fits into many living styles thanks to its filigree shapes and carefully selected colours. They bring a little holiday feeling into the living area both outdoors and indoors. Not just the core product - the Acapullco Chair. In addition to their functionality, the furniture are also extremely decorative objects.
Benjamin: Thank you Carolin for the interview.
