Bei Acapulco Design treffen wir häufig auf die Frage, ob der Acapulco Chair bequem sei. Obwohl Bequemlichkeit sehr subjektiver Wahrnehmung unterliegt, sind wir sehr von dem Komfort und der Bequemlichkeit unserer Original Acapulco Chairs überzeugt. Sehr gerne möchten wir das Thema aber in folgendem Beitrag die Gründe etwas genauer erörtern.

October 26, 2023Am 25.10.2023 erscheinte die neue Acapulco Design Low Table Kollektion 2023.
Gemeinsam mit verschiedenen deutschen Designern konzipiert Acapulco Design eine Kollektion, die das mexikanische Midcentury Design neu interpretiert und sich dabei vom Original Acapulco Chair inspirieren lässt. Der Entwurf des Low Tables stammt von Industriedesignerin Olivia Herms, die bereits im Frühjahr 2021 den Ring Table, einen runden Esstisch mit filigranem Metallgestell und edler Terrazzoplatte für Acapulco Design entwickelte. Bereits letztes Jahr lancierten wir die erste Low Table Serie, der nun die 2. Kollektion in 3 neuen Varianten folgt.

The Low Table picks up on the design and materials of the Ring Table: the terrazzo plate is supported by a filigree metal frame. Here, too, a ring acts as a central element that elegantly brings the table legs and table top together. The metal struts result in a butterfly-shaped pattern. As a striking detail, the central ring characterizes the entire product portfolio of Acapulco Design.

A story that we personally don't necessarily want to believe. The fact is that the beginnings of the original Acapulco Chair are subordinate to this period. A time when Acapulco was a jet set destination for American celebrities.
