This special Acapulco Chair model is based on the Memphis design movement of the 1980s and was created in cooperation with the sneaker brand VOR SHOES. “Memphis” was founded in 1980 as a designer collective in Milan. The aim of the members was to shake up the current state of the design industry. Always considered controversial, the Memphis design had a tremendous impact on the course of design history. The 2010-20s saw a resurgence of the Memphis aesthetic in creative sectors. This special aesthetic and color scheme was incorporated into the new sneaker and Acapulco Chair and Taburete models in close cooperation between the two brands ACAPULCO DESIGN and VOR SHOES and translated into the design language of the sneakers and design furniture.
